Arlington, VA, August 13, 2007 – PMMI has selected thirteen packaging professionals to serve on the Packaging Hall of Fame™ Commission. The panel, representing various sectors of the packaging community, will select inductees for the Packaging Hall of Fame™ Class of 2007.

The following individuals will sit on the Commission:

• Edward Church, Executive Director, International Safe Transit Association
• Lisa Feustle, Director Engineering, McCormick & Co.
• Mark Jacobson, Vice President, Econocorp, Inc.
• John Kowal, Global Marketing Manager, ELAU, Inc.
• Brad Menees, Vice President, Technical Development, Campbell Soup Co.
• Mike Richmond, Ph.D., Senior Partner, Packaging & Technology Integrated Solutions
• Randy Spahr, Vice President, Packaging Machines International
• Dwight Schmidt, President, Fibre Box Association
• Ben Miyares, Vice President, Industry Relations, PMMI

Miyares will serve as the Commission’s coordinator.

Directed by the PMMI Education & Training Foundation, the Packaging Hall of Fame™ recognizes a select number of exemplary packaging leaders each year who have displayed significant contributions to the packaging industry and educational efforts. All funds raised by the Foundation are used to support ongoing packaging education programs.

An awards ceremony will be held for inductees to the Packaging Hall of Fame™ Class of 2007 on October 15, 2007 from 4:30 – 6:30pm in the Las Vegas Hilton Ballroom. The reception will be held in conjunction with PACK EXPO Las Vegas, running from October 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which is directly connected to the hotel.

PACK EXPO Las Vegas will be held October 15-17, 2007 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. The show will be co-located with the PROCESS EXPO, the Converting & Package Printing EXPO and the International Bottled Water Association’s 2007 Convention and Tabletop Trade Show. PACK EXPO International will be held November 9-13, 2008 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.  PMMI also produces EXPO PACK México, the premier packaging show in Mexico serving the Latin American region. This show will be held June 24-27, 2008 at Centro Banamex, Mexico City, Mexico.
