Arlington, VA, August 13, 2007 – PMMI has selected thirteen packaging professionals to serve on the Packaging Hall of Fame™ Commission. The panel, representing various sectors of the packaging community, will select inductees for the Packaging Hall of Fame™ Class of 2007. The following individuals will sit on the Commission:
Miyares will serve as the Commission’s coordinator. Directed by the PMMI Education & Training Foundation, the Packaging Hall of Fame™ recognizes a select number of exemplary packaging leaders each year who have displayed significant contributions to the packaging industry and educational efforts. All funds raised by the Foundation are used to support ongoing packaging education programs. An awards ceremony will be held for inductees to the Packaging Hall of Fame™ Class of 2007 on October 15, 2007 from 4:30 – 6:30pm in the Las Vegas Hilton Ballroom. The reception will be held in conjunction with PACK EXPO Las Vegas, running from October 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which is directly connected to the hotel. PMMI is a trade association whose more than 500 general members manufacture packaging and packaging-related converting machinery in the United States and Canada.
